20 Gifts Ideas $20 & Under

Hello Everyone! If you're new here, welcome to my blog. Today I'm coming at you with a post of 20 wonderful gifts I found for $20 and under. I tried to pick a variety of items. From makeup and jewelry to candles and books, this list is sure to have at least one item someone if your life will love.

Some of my favorites from the list have to be the Avocado pin, the Marble Keyboard Cover, and the Lace Up Tour Tee. If you should know anything about me, food wise, it's that avocados are definitely one of my favorites foods to ever exist on this planet. I CAN'T get enough guys...it's an addiction. Let me know if you're at all interested in learning some of my recipes that involve them. There are many ways to prepare an avocado and I'd be thrilled to make a post on it!

I'm also a sucker for anything that has a marble print on it and the marble print keyboard cover is no acceptation. You'll notice I also included a marble notebook from Urban Outfitters in my list. Fun Fact: I actually already own it. Oops! I just needed to share it with all of you. It's a very beautiful journal and well hello, it's under $20. Yes please. *snaps*

As for the tour tee, I've really been into the grungy, lace up, style clothing lately. I must say it's growing on me. There's something sexy about a usually plain boxy tee having a revealing lace up in the front. This shirt will be in my shopping cart as soon as payday comes around.

Take a look down below to check them all out for yourself. There is a link to each item in the captions below. Enjoy shopping and Happy Holidays!

Crisscross Top $15.90 | Gourmand Candle $14 | Avocado Pin $10 | Better Than Sex Ornament $12 | Marble Journal $12

Lace Up Tour Tee $17.90 | Little Snow Fairy $15.95 | Bobs Burgers Burger Book $19.95 | Becca Moonstone Set $20  | Triangle Bra $20

Thank you so much for taking a look at my post today. Feel free to leave a comment down below letting me know which item from the list is your favorite. I'm sure more shopping list ideas will somehow pop up on my blog in the future so be sure to check back soon. Much love and stay brilliant.

All About Stripes

Top Row (left to right): 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 Bottom Row (left to right): 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Lately I've found myself wanting to swap out some older garms for new striped pieces. I love stripes! It's hard not too when if you do them right, they can be flattering on any body type.

Being a plus sized girl, you'd think I was afraid of the horizontally lined fabric but it's quite the opposite. Every piece is going to fit you differently. Some will be winners and some will be losers. My point is that either way, you should never be afraid to try them out. You'd be surprised by how many things you think would look horrible, that would actually look stunning on you!

I picked out a few items I've been lusting over from my favorite sites. Check them out and tell me what you think!

Crop tops are a subtle and easy way to incorporate stripes into your wardrobe. Personally, I'm all about striped swing dresses. They scream style and are insanely comfortable for day to day wear. My favorite piece from the photos above would have to be the Striped Sweater from Free People. ~ It looks so cozy! What's your favorite?

Scarf | Socks
Isn't this scarf the cutest thing ever? It's only $8.90 so get it while you can!
How do you feel about stripes?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. I hope you enjoyed it and make sure to follow me so you can be updated every time I upload a new blog post.

Stay brilliant world.

Ross Haul

I recently made a trip to Ross to check out what they had. I mainly go to Ross for perfume, bags, and home decor. So what I got may not come as a surprise to you! No home decor for me today but I did find a few gems in the store. Here are all the beauts I got the other day. Enjoy!

The first thing I picked up was right buy the entrance. Yes, I fell for their plan but hey! This candle smells amazing. I feel like it can be hard to find a candle that is purely just the scent of apples. They always mix it with something else so when I saw this was just plain apple scented I snatched it right up. It was a whooping $2.99. ~ Oh my! (It retails for $6)  I wish that there were more of these at their store, I would had bought them all. I'm burning it as I write this and I love it! It smells so fruity and it's making me kind of hungry...

I found this adorable Steve Madden satchel over in their purse section and I freaked! In case you didn't know, Steve Madden is one of my all-time favorite designers. So when I saw this bag I just about had a heart attack. It was love at first sight. It retails for $68 and I was lucky enough to get it for $29.99. My Mother is a sweetheart and was actually the one to purchases it. ~ Thanks Mom!

Just wait guys. Although the front of the bag is stunning, the back and bottom are really what got me.

It's a bright mint color!

Not sure if you can tell from the photo but my walls are painted the same color as the bag. That indication should let you know it's pretty much my favorite color. I've never owned a color block purse before and I'm glad this one could be my first.

It has gold detailing and the lining is a black and white chevron print.

I have a wallet by Steve Madden that matches it perfectly. It's meant to be!

The only piece on clothing I got on my trip was this number by a brand called Meraki. Never heard of the brand before but I love the shirt. The tag says it's a size small but I normally wear a L-XL and it's huge on me! I think it's meant to be a one-size fits all kind of garment. It retails for $24.99 and I paid $11.99 for it.

It's a maroon, high-low, chiffon like shirt with a scoop neckline and it's actually really flattering. I think it would look good on almost every body type. When I went in to try it on I was afraid it would look a bit like a muumuu but it didn't! It's quite long in the back. All it needs is some black jeans, a skinny belt and were good to go.

*I'm sorry about the terrible photos. They give it no justice but it was extremely hard to photograph without it just looking like a big piece of flowy fabric.

Something I like to do every time I go to Ross is try out at least one new perfume I haven't bought before. This trip was no exception.

It took me a while of walking back and forth to the rack where they hold all their perfume but I finally decided on two. The first one I got was Lucky You by Lucky Brand. I've never tried anything by the brand outside of their jeans. ~ Which are great! When I saw this, then saw that it was marked down to only $14.99 I was like YES. Mine. Gimme.

It's always a surprise what it'll smell like and what the bottle will look like, which is why I like to buy them from Ross. Also the price in unbelievably low. This 3.7 fl. oz. bottle was originally $54. That's insane!

I lucked out with this one because I adore the scent and the bottle design. Score!

I think that the raised print on the glass is so cool and a very cute touch. One side says "Lucky Brand" with a "Luck You" in the middle and the other side has a four-leaf clover of course. What I couldn't really photograph was that the sides say "America's" & "Favorite".

The second perfume I found while searching through the shelves was Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana! Are you kidding me? I must of smelt this perfume in Sephora at least ten times, dreaming I could afford it. Well thanks to Ross, now I could.

It's a pretty small bottle at only .84 fl. oz. but I was not about to pass it up. I did contemplate whether or not I should buy it but as you can see...I did. It retails for $52 and I paid $37.99. It was still quite expensive but totally worth it. I love this scent.

I think the bottle is very classy too. I'm a sucker for design and I love the clouded glass and reflective print on the bottle. I think it's fun to build up a collection of different perfumes. They are all so pretty and can add a fun vibe to your beauty station.

Thank you all so much for reading my post today. I hope you enjoyed. Leave a comment down below telling me something you've purchased recently that you love!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Haul

So if you didn't hear about it from the various commercials, dozens of ads, and thousands of blog posts, Lilly Pulitzer and Target came together to create a stunning collection! It was full of a ton of cute clothing, from rompers to swimsuits and everything in between. I was very lucky when it came to this lovely collection for the main fact that I work at Target. I was jumping up and down when I finally got to see all the products in person on Saturday morning. Everything was so vibrant and fun! ~Of course! Unfortunately I had to work this morning, so my only chance to buy anything was on my lunch. I actually managed to snatch up a few items before we were completely out of stock. I'll link everything I can down below but Target is already completely sold out online so you'll have to go to your nearest Target to see if they have anything left. Enjoy!

I bought it in store for $15. Click here for more details.

The first thing that caught my eye was this iPhone 6 Plus case. I'm obsessed! The pattern name is call Fan Dance. I was so happy that they actually made a few cases that fit my phone. It's hard to find affordable, stylish cases for the 6 plus. It has a more muted color scheme and I love it. I really wanted a case in the pattern See Ya Later but they didn't have a size that would fit my phone. I'm not complaining at all though. I'm so pleased I even got my hands on this. We only got two of each pattern in stock at my store and the cases went fast!

I bought it in-store for $22. Click here for more details.

The fact that I was able to get a phone case before they were all gone was a big deal, but getting clothing was a huge deal! We had a line outside our door and the second it turned 8 o'clock the doors opened and the guests piled in. Luckily, everyone was civil and calm for the most part. Not going to lie though, I did see one guest throwing handfuls of clothes and accessories over her arm. It was a tad overwhelming but still a fun morning. Anyway, back to the shirt. I got a top in the pattern Nosie Posey. It's almost impossible to pick a favorite pattern but this one is definitely in my top five. It's sort of a babydoll style top and it's super flattering. The colors of this shirt make me happy, which is what Lilly Pulitzer is all about! The v-neckline is classy and cute but adds a slight sexiness to it. My favorite part of the entire shirt is the zipper in the back, scroll down below to see a photo of it. I'll definitely be sporting this all summer. Can't wait for all the looks I'm going put together with this shirt. There will be many OOTD's involving this piece in the near future. Pardon my amateur photo below, I was losing sunlight. ~Oh no!

Look how cute the pull in the back is! It's an adorable little gold pineapple.

I bought it in-store for $26. Click here for more details.

The last thing I got was another shirt. I know, whaaaat?! This along with the other shirt I bought were the last one of their kind. Which in this case was a blessing and a curse. I think the colors and pattern of this shirt are beautiful and the neckline is insanely flattering. It's in the pattern Sea Urchin for You. How cute? The only unfortunate thing is, it's an XXL and it's quick wide around the waist. It's definitely passable. Since the style of the shirt is flowy in the first place it still looks really good. It'll be perfect for going to out to dinner in the chance I eat too much and want to hide my belly. ~Let's be real, it happens to the best of us. It's not the perfect fit but because I am who I am, I still decided to buy it because it was the last one and because of my love for the color. I think I made the right choice getting it, all it needs is some skinny jeans and I'm good to go. I can't get over how cute the pattern is either. Time to grab my sandals and head to the beach! Oh wait, they have those in the collection too.

This doesn't really count as something I bought for my mini haul but I got one of the posters that was part of the display. I just thought it was such a pretty sign!

Leave a comment down below telling if me you got your hands on anything from the collection and if so, what? I hope you enjoyed this blog post and thank you so much for reading.

Stay brilliant world.

Forever 21 Hidden Gems - Outerwear Edition

We've all heard about Forever 21, right? It's a fairly inexpensive American retail store. I personly find I like a big majority of the items the store offers. That being said, it has definitely racked up some "haters" for lack of a better word. I agree, some of the things they sell are pretty low quality. That has never been the case however, with outerwear I've purchased from them. Today I have a list of what I find to be hidden gems within the Forever 21 website. Let me know if you agree down in the comments below. Tell me if you have a favorite from all the jackets I picked out!

Buy this Snap Collar Moto Jacket in mint, light blue, or pink, for $24.90 here.

Let's start out with the least expensive of everything I picked. This is their Snap Collar Moto Jacket in the color Mint. First off, I'm obsessed with this color. It's so cute! The fact that it's more of a pastel mint than an in-your-face green color is perfect. I think you have to be a little careful when styling jackets of this color and they did a lovely job with the model's outfit. This is definitely a gem for it only costing $25. Grab it up before it's completely out of stock.

Buy this Faux Leather-Trimmed Marled Coat for $49.80 here.

Forever 21 stepped up their game with this one. This coat is my favorite from the list. As you can see it's a bit more costly at $49.80 but with the price going up, so did the quality. I've tried this on in person and loved it. They are changing their company as we know it when it comes to the amazing jackets they offer now. This coat is insanely stylish. You'd be turning heads left and right if you sported this in public. I highly urge you to at least look at the other photos of this on their website. Understandably, it's not going to be everyone's style. If you are at all interested in buying it, I'd go to a Forever 21 near you and try it out. You want to make sure the cut/fit is flattering on your body before dishing out $50.

Buy this Quilted & Hooded Utility Jacket for $62.80 here.

This is the most expensive of all the outerwear pieces I picked today. I like this one because I'm drawn to coats with faux leather sleeves. The quilted pattern is a plus too. The olive color would fit effortlessly into my wardrobe but they also offer it in navy if that's more you're style. It has a removable lining and a hood, which is nice. Where I live it could rain any given day so investing in this jacket, even though summer is creeping up on us, would still be a smart choice. What's the weather like were you live? Do you want to fight rain in style with this beauty? I know I do.

Buy this Distressed Denim Jacket for $37.90 here.

Who wouldn't want the addition of a perfectly distressed denim jacket to their closet? No one, I hope. I have about 5 denim jackets in my collection but none of them are distressed. Which leaves me wanting this even more. You can so easily style denim, so it's perfect for people new to the world of fashion. If you don't feel like forking over $38 then you could always hit up a thrift store and find your own to destroy. If you're anything like me though, you're far too lazy for that. This jacket would work great for people going for a boho or grunge vibe. If that's you, go get it!

Buy this Classic hooded Utility Jacket in Olive for $29.90 here.

Last in the line is this stunning Utility Jacket from the plus section of Forever 21. If you didn't know they carried plus sizes now you do! There are so many cute things in the Forever 21+ section. Take a peek if you're a curvy fashionista looking for some new pieces. I have a jacket very similar to this that I got from Target. It's a bit longer though. I stand at 5'7" and the back nearly reaches my knees. The Anorak I'm talking about unfortunately is sold out but I'll link a similar one here.
Remember to always skim the websites of your favorite stores. You never know just what you'll find. Comment down below other sites I should check out for future installments of this series. Thank you for reading.

 Stay brilliant world.
