Healthy Snack ft. Chia Seeds

I just wanted to share a few snaps I took of a snack I had recently and tell you how I felt about having chia seeds for the first time.

Pictures of fruit smoothie bowls are taking over Instagram and it's was making me hungry! Unfortunately I didn't actually have any time to make the fruit smoothie part. Instead I swapped it for some low fat vanilla yogurt. ~ Yum!

I put some blackberries, strawberries, and chia seeds on top and let me just say...it was so good! Chia seeds have a ton of nutritional benefits and in my opinion the taste wasn't too strong, so they're totally worth eating.

Don't be afraid to try out new foods. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be a good thing. You never know what food may become your next favorite.

I got the cute little bowl in the photos above at a Japanese dollar store near me. They are a great place to look for tiny bowls. Perfect for portion control!

Let me know in the comments below if you'd like a post on a few healthy snack recipes I have!

All About Stripes

Top Row (left to right): 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 Bottom Row (left to right): 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Lately I've found myself wanting to swap out some older garms for new striped pieces. I love stripes! It's hard not too when if you do them right, they can be flattering on any body type.

Being a plus sized girl, you'd think I was afraid of the horizontally lined fabric but it's quite the opposite. Every piece is going to fit you differently. Some will be winners and some will be losers. My point is that either way, you should never be afraid to try them out. You'd be surprised by how many things you think would look horrible, that would actually look stunning on you!

I picked out a few items I've been lusting over from my favorite sites. Check them out and tell me what you think!

Crop tops are a subtle and easy way to incorporate stripes into your wardrobe. Personally, I'm all about striped swing dresses. They scream style and are insanely comfortable for day to day wear. My favorite piece from the photos above would have to be the Striped Sweater from Free People. ~ It looks so cozy! What's your favorite?

Scarf | Socks
Isn't this scarf the cutest thing ever? It's only $8.90 so get it while you can!
How do you feel about stripes?

Bite Beauty Obsessed

So a few posts ago in my Sephora Haul  I briefly talked about my new lip crayon from Bite Beauty. I've been using it almost every day now for about a week and guys...I'm OBSESSED! I honestly cannot get enough of it.

I've worn it to work a few times and every time someone has pointed out that they like how my makeup looked, especially my lip color.

I got the shade Léché in-store for $24, you can grab it here!
This color is killer. It goes so well with my everyday eye makeup look. I love the shade so much but I really want to go back and pick up a few more! I'd love to try out Tatin and Glacé.

Frasier looks like a nice take on a classic red, too.

All in all, I've quickly fallen in love with this product and will definitely be dishing out some more cash to get a couple other colors.

I completely recommend you try out these lip crayons if your into a matte finish. I thought I liked MAC's matte lipsticks best, but now I'm torn. ~ MAC still wins when it comes to scent though. Their lip products smell like candy corn!

Yep, that's me after an eight hour shift at work. I only reapplied once! (After lunch of course.)

Have you guys ever tried any Bite Beauty products? How did you feel about them? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments below.
I hope you enjoyed my little ramble! Thank you so much for reading my post today. Make sure to follow my blog so you can be updated on my posts in the future.

My Life Through Photos #1

This is my kitten and his name is Marley. (Sorry the pic is a little blurry, he's hard to photograph!)
I am Groot!
Found this while wandering around Seattle.
Yummm!

It's one of our SakuraCon traditions to eat here every year. Best. Crêpes. Ever!
They don't just sell Crêpes. Doesn't this look good?
It hailed this past week where I live!
Oh yeah, I also met Slender Man. Turns out he's a really nice dude.
This is my first "My Life Through Photos" post and I hope you enjoyed it! Gracie Francesca inspired me to start making these along with a new series made up of my Instagram posts. Since I wasn't completely planning on making this, most of these photos are from one adventure I had recently.

I'll be sure to start taking photos absolutely everywhere I go from now on so you can see more into my life. ^.^

Most of these pictures where taken when I was in Seattle at SakuraCon this past April. I had the time of my life (as usual) and definitely plan on going next year!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog post. If you enjoyed it, make sure to follow me for future posts! Leave a comment telling me if you've ever been to a convention or one you'd like to go to someday. I really wanted to go to Emerald City Comicon next year!

Sephora Haul

I finally got a few products I've been dreaming of owning for months now, and I couldn't be happier.

This trip to Sephora mainly revolved around face products. I figured it was about time I try out some new foundations and such. I'm so glad I finally took the leap and bought the tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Foundation that was on my April Wishlist!

Infact, I picked up several products that were on my wishlist. Including the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and the Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon in Léché. (It was the last one in the store!)

If you have never tried out the Bite Matte Lip Crayons, you are missing out. I can honestly say that they are now my favorite lip products as far as wear time. They stay on all day. I wore it for 13 hours (I know...long day!) and I only had to retouch it once because I ate food. I'm definitely interested in trying out other Bite Beauty products due to how much I love this lip crayon.

I'll be sure to due an update post on how I feel about all the products I bought this trip at Sephora. Let me know if you guys want to know more about any specific item from the haul!
Thank you so much for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed. Leave a comment down below telling me something you've been eye-balling from Sephora!

6 Summer Sunnies

1 ($176) | 2 ($189) | 3 ($22) | 4 ($128) | 5 ($58) | 6 ($186)

It's almost time grab a fruity drink, lay pool side, and throw on your favorite pair of sunnies because summer is right around the corner!

I compiled a little list of super cute sunglasses for you guys. I may have gone a tad overboard when it's comes to the $$$ amount you'd be dishing out for these babies but it's totally with it! Shades are a quintessential part of summer.

All of the lovely sunglasses I picked out have complete UV protection and are a sure way to rock this season with style.

My personal favorites are the Ray-ban Mirrored Clubmasters up in the top left corner. There's something really funky yet fun about the green mirrored lenses. I think you'd be surprised how much they'd go with. Don't be afraid to have fun and experiment with your style this summer! After all, it is the perfect time to let loose and just relax.
Thank you so much for reading my post today. Leave a comment down below telling me which shades are your favorite!

Make sure to follow if you liked this blog post, for there will be many more to come.

Hello May

May is finally here! Which for me means lots of flowers, sunny mornings, and a handful of family birthdays. I've always been a fan of May. My sister's birthday is on the 5th, which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo, so you can imagine if we go out for dinner it's normally quite busy. To me there's something really peaceful about it though. I guess I just love celebrating birthdays. Later in the month is my brother's birthday, on the 15th. Unfortunately he lives on the other side of the country due to being in the military but nevertheless, I'm excited for his too. A few other family members have birthdays this month also. From a selfish stand point May means my 20th is just around the corner. I'm a June baby!

I know, I know... a girl who loves flowers is a little cliche but give me a break! It's hard not to when there are so many different types to choose from. My personal favorite are Sunflowers. I think it's a mix between the bright yellow color and massive size when they fully bloom that make me love them. I've been on this kick of buying whatever flowers catch my eye for the past month.

What's your favorite flower?

My tip of completely unprofessional advice for the month would be to stay positive and just breathe. If you walk around with a big cloud of negativity over your head, every person you come into contact with will be affected by it. The same goes for positivity. So why not try to make the people around you happy while at the same time making yourself feel wonderful? The idea may seem a little cheesy but trust me, it works.

If all you do is relax, enjoy life, and be nice and respectful to others, it'll spiral you into a circle of happiness.

Let's start this month off with a smile. Write down in the comments below something that makes you happy! Personally, it's the little things that make me smile. When someone tells you "Good job!" after you worked your ass off or when a stranger says they like how you did your hair after you just spent a half hour doing it. Things like that make me want to make a positive impact in other people's lives. Acknowledging people for the things that are often overlooked.
Thank you so much for reading my post today. I hope you enjoyed it! Make sure to follow me for many more blog posts to come.

Stay brilliant world.
