Hello May

May is finally here! Which for me means lots of flowers, sunny mornings, and a handful of family birthdays. I've always been a fan of May. My sister's birthday is on the 5th, which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo, so you can imagine if we go out for dinner it's normally quite busy. To me there's something really peaceful about it though. I guess I just love celebrating birthdays. Later in the month is my brother's birthday, on the 15th. Unfortunately he lives on the other side of the country due to being in the military but nevertheless, I'm excited for his too. A few other family members have birthdays this month also. From a selfish stand point May means my 20th is just around the corner. I'm a June baby!

I know, I know... a girl who loves flowers is a little cliche but give me a break! It's hard not to when there are so many different types to choose from. My personal favorite are Sunflowers. I think it's a mix between the bright yellow color and massive size when they fully bloom that make me love them. I've been on this kick of buying whatever flowers catch my eye for the past month.

What's your favorite flower?

My tip of completely unprofessional advice for the month would be to stay positive and just breathe. If you walk around with a big cloud of negativity over your head, every person you come into contact with will be affected by it. The same goes for positivity. So why not try to make the people around you happy while at the same time making yourself feel wonderful? The idea may seem a little cheesy but trust me, it works.

If all you do is relax, enjoy life, and be nice and respectful to others, it'll spiral you into a circle of happiness.

Let's start this month off with a smile. Write down in the comments below something that makes you happy! Personally, it's the little things that make me smile. When someone tells you "Good job!" after you worked your ass off or when a stranger says they like how you did your hair after you just spent a half hour doing it. Things like that make me want to make a positive impact in other people's lives. Acknowledging people for the things that are often overlooked.
Thank you so much for reading my post today. I hope you enjoyed it! Make sure to follow me for many more blog posts to come.

Stay brilliant world.
