A Few Things To Remember This Black Friday

So this year I decided I want to make a little post on a few things you should keep in mind while shopping this Black Friday. These opinions and tips are my own. I just wanted to share them so you can get the most out of your shopping experience. Enjoy!

Don't be a jerk.
Coming from the point of view of someone who will be working retail for a 13.5 hour shift this Black Friday, this is the best advice I can give. I know sometimes things happen in the heat of the moment or maybe you were really looking forward to getting that one perfect item but please remember, it's not my fault we were only given one or two and now we're out of stock. If I could magically pull another one out of a hat for you, I would. I understand money can be tight or that someone special really wanted that item you came in for but yelling at me for the fact that we were given a small supply is not going to get you anywhere. As someone in retail I can honestly tell you, we are not working against you. We are NOT out to get you. If we could help you, we would. So just keep in mind this year around that I'm a human, just like you, and yelling at me at three in the morning is not going to do you or me any good.

Plan your night.
I'm sure many of you already know to do this but for those of you that are new to this whole charade, planning is going to be your best bet. Most all companies will post at least part of the deals they'll be having, up on their website. So take the time to map out which stores you'd like to visit and keep a timeline of when you want to be at them. I find this is best if you're shopping for multiple people. Remember not to be at one store for too long. Know what you want, go in and throw it in your cart, then try to get through the line as quick as possible. Maybe consider bringing a snack or something to read while you wait in line. Or at least make sure your phone is fully charged so you don't die of boredom. You'll find waiting to checkout is going to take up most of your time. Don't worry too much about it though. Just breathe. Getting deals like these takes some compromise.

It is what it is.
Think about it. At the end of the day will little Timmy really care if he didn't get his new Hot Wheel's? Well maybe...but he'll be fine! Remember to remind your loved ones and yourself that it's only just stuff. I am a total sucker for a good discount but if the person right in front of me gets the last one of something I wanted or I just can't get my hands on the products I came in for, I'm not going to cry about it. Family is really what the holidays should all be about. Don't get me wrong, stuff is nice. But family is better. As long as you get to spend time with them then everything will turn out alright. There will always be another Black Friday.

Online Deals.
Personally I think Black Friday can be more stress than it's worth. All I have to say is don't forget about the deals you can get online, from the comfort of your own home. Cyber Monday is full of amazing savings. Much like Black Friday, or Grey Thursday as some are calling it, many website will have an announcement on their site of what they are going to be offering. So be sure to peek at all your favorite site come this weekend to see what online madness to prepare for.

Well those are the few tips I have for this crazy tradition that is once again upon us. I hope i was helpful or at least gave you a little more prospective. Like I mentioned above, don't forget what's most important. Family. Hold them close and let them know that you love them because unlike Black Friday deals, they are here to stay.

Thank you so much for reading my post today. Leave a comment down below telling me where you plan on visiting this Black Friday! Any particular deals you're looking forward to?

Makeup Favorites No. 2

Hello beauties! It has been quite a while...I felt it was right to take a break from posting every week so I could focus more on the big changes that were happening in my life. You know how it goes, life kinda just happens? I'll be sure to make an update post on that soon. For now lets talk about the few makeup favorites I've been obsessing over for the past few months.

May I just say...I'm in LOVE! Let's jump right into it.

tarte Amazonian Clay 24 Hour Foundation in Light Beige| $39
If you have the same skin type as me, combination to oily and sensitive, this foundation will blow your mind! I can honestly say this is the first foundation I have ever used that has not made me breakout or made my breakouts worse. In fact, this product actually helps combat acne! It's made to last all day and not feel too heavy. I'm on my second tube and I can tell this is quickly going to become a holy grail for me. The consistency is pretty thick but if you pair it with a damp beauty blender it thins it out and makes the application flawless.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light to Medium | $40

I'm sure you've all seen this palette many times before. I'll keep it short. This palette is amazing! Please forgive how messy mine currently is. I use it often on clients and myself of course. It's very versatile. They also offer another contour palette with different tones so you're bound to find something to fit your skin tone.

tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette | $45

I'm so excited to be sharing this one with you. It has been out for a while but I never managed to get my hands on it...until now! This is the tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette. Oh boy is that a mouthful. The shades are beautiful. Some are very warm while others have cool tones. It's an easy palette to get creative with. There are an endless amount of looks that can be made with it. Try it out!

My favorites shadows from the palette so far are "natural beauty" and "dreamer". As you can see I haven't even had a chance to try out all the colors yet. There are so many!

MAC Blush in Melba | $22
The last lovely makeup item on my list is this blush by MAC. MAC has been one of my favorite brands since I was young teenager. I'm always swooning over their products. I mean how can you not? Look at this color! I'm crazy for it. It's a soft coral color. I've used it on a few different skin tones and it's always seemed to compliment. I've had this for years and it's still holding up. If this isn't the shade for you I recommend you check out their other blushes and find the right one for you. You won't regret it.

Thank you so much for reading my post today. Leave a comment down below telling me if you have an recent makeup favorites and what they are! I'm always looking to try out new products.
