In Love With Lace

When it comes to undergarments, lace is my go to. What can I say? I'm in love with lace.

I compiled a handful of my favorite bras/bralettes from different companies. If you're new to the lace game be sure to go in store and try on a few pieces before you drop the cash. My favorite stores for beautiful bras are in no particular order, Victoria's Secret, Urban Outfitters, Victoria's Secret PINK, Free People, and Anthropology.

Embrace your body and wear what makes YOU feel good.

Enjoy!

VS Satin & Lace Long Line Demi Bra $66.50 - $72.50

Gift Ideas For The Men In Your Life

Gray Joggers $49.95 | Khaki Joggers $99 | Black Joggers $19.90 Olive Joggers $59
Joggers are on the rise and companies are stepping up their game. I picked out a few of my favorites but feel free to search the internet till you find the perfect pair. They can range from completely affordable to a little pricey but if you invest in a good pair, just like any other piece of clothing, they will hold up for quite a while. My favorite thing about the whole jogger trend is that they are stylish and also completely comfortable! That's a magical thing, when fashion and comfort can com together. So be sure to snatch up a few pairs for the men in your life...or maybe even yourself? (They make a ton for women too. Check out your favorite sites to see what they offer!)

Spicebomb $90 | The One $67 | Gucci Guilty $68 | Euphoria $62
Cologne is always a good choice. The few that I listed above are some that I smelled at my local Sephora and fell in love with. Once again, this is more of a personal choice kind of gift. Only you know what scent you like for your man. Or maybe you have a son or a friend who have cologne on their wishlist list this year. So stop by an Ulta or Sephora to take a sniff and see which bottle you think is right!

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski $85 | Ray Ban's $150 | Nixon Metal Time Teller Watch $100
I wanted to just throw in a couple random stylized gifts that I have my eye on. You cannot go wrong with a fresh pair of kicks. Nike's are my personal favorite. They are classic and clean looking. Meaning the simple color scheme will match most wardrobes and are bound to perfect any casual outfit. I've always been a sucker for Janoski's. Although the shades are on the more expensive side they are totally worth it. Ray Ban's hold up and there is a frame style for everyone. As for the watch, who wouldn't like a sleek all matte black watch? So classy!

Mini RC Helicopter $36 | Skeye Nano Drone Quadcopter $44
Okay so we all know it doesn't matter how young or old the men in your life are, a miniature version of anything that flies is ALWAYS a good gift idea. I'm definitely going to be picking up one of these little drones for my 22 year old boyfriend. It's doesn't matter if it's for your 10 year old nephew or 80 year old grandfather, they are bound to have fun with it. This is probably one of my favorite gifts in this guide today. Mainly because of it's price to use ratio. They aren't inexpensive but for the fun that they can get out of them I think the price is very reasonable.

Herschel Edward Wallet $30 | Herschel Bi-Fold Wallet $25
I know what you might be thinking. A wallet? Come on, that's not exciting. Well it can be! So many brands have been making new, stunning wallets. I could have easily made my list of nice wallets huge, but instead I picked to showcase a few from one of my favorite brands aimed towards men, Herschel. They have high quality products that hold up. I love their aesthetic. They hit the mark style wise. My favorite of the three shown above would have to be the Maroon Bi-fold. At only $25 a pop, for a product that he'll use for years, that's a great price. If you're interested in seeing them in person before you buy stop by an Urban Outfitters. They carry in store at some locations. While you're there I suggest you take a peek around. They have a ton of fun little gifts that would be great for Christmas, you never know what you might find.

Well that's my list of gift ideas for the man in your life. Feel free to share it with your friends if they're having trouble picking something for someone special. All these gifts can be given to girls too! I made this post just to help you guys out with ideas. I hope it gave you some inspiration. There are so many awesome gifts out there, you just have to search for them!

A Few Things To Remember This Black Friday

So this year I decided I want to make a little post on a few things you should keep in mind while shopping this Black Friday. These opinions and tips are my own. I just wanted to share them so you can get the most out of your shopping experience. Enjoy!

Don't be a jerk.
Coming from the point of view of someone who will be working retail for a 13.5 hour shift this Black Friday, this is the best advice I can give. I know sometimes things happen in the heat of the moment or maybe you were really looking forward to getting that one perfect item but please remember, it's not my fault we were only given one or two and now we're out of stock. If I could magically pull another one out of a hat for you, I would. I understand money can be tight or that someone special really wanted that item you came in for but yelling at me for the fact that we were given a small supply is not going to get you anywhere. As someone in retail I can honestly tell you, we are not working against you. We are NOT out to get you. If we could help you, we would. So just keep in mind this year around that I'm a human, just like you, and yelling at me at three in the morning is not going to do you or me any good.

Plan your night.
I'm sure many of you already know to do this but for those of you that are new to this whole charade, planning is going to be your best bet. Most all companies will post at least part of the deals they'll be having, up on their website. So take the time to map out which stores you'd like to visit and keep a timeline of when you want to be at them. I find this is best if you're shopping for multiple people. Remember not to be at one store for too long. Know what you want, go in and throw it in your cart, then try to get through the line as quick as possible. Maybe consider bringing a snack or something to read while you wait in line. Or at least make sure your phone is fully charged so you don't die of boredom. You'll find waiting to checkout is going to take up most of your time. Don't worry too much about it though. Just breathe. Getting deals like these takes some compromise.

It is what it is.
Think about it. At the end of the day will little Timmy really care if he didn't get his new Hot Wheel's? Well maybe...but he'll be fine! Remember to remind your loved ones and yourself that it's only just stuff. I am a total sucker for a good discount but if the person right in front of me gets the last one of something I wanted or I just can't get my hands on the products I came in for, I'm not going to cry about it. Family is really what the holidays should all be about. Don't get me wrong, stuff is nice. But family is better. As long as you get to spend time with them then everything will turn out alright. There will always be another Black Friday.

Online Deals.
Personally I think Black Friday can be more stress than it's worth. All I have to say is don't forget about the deals you can get online, from the comfort of your own home. Cyber Monday is full of amazing savings. Much like Black Friday, or Grey Thursday as some are calling it, many website will have an announcement on their site of what they are going to be offering. So be sure to peek at all your favorite site come this weekend to see what online madness to prepare for.

Well those are the few tips I have for this crazy tradition that is once again upon us. I hope i was helpful or at least gave you a little more prospective. Like I mentioned above, don't forget what's most important. Family. Hold them close and let them know that you love them because unlike Black Friday deals, they are here to stay.

Thank you so much for reading my post today. Leave a comment down below telling me where you plan on visiting this Black Friday! Any particular deals you're looking forward to?

Makeup Favorites No. 2

Hello beauties! It has been quite a while...I felt it was right to take a break from posting every week so I could focus more on the big changes that were happening in my life. You know how it goes, life kinda just happens? I'll be sure to make an update post on that soon. For now lets talk about the few makeup favorites I've been obsessing over for the past few months.

May I just say...I'm in LOVE! Let's jump right into it.

tarte Amazonian Clay 24 Hour Foundation in Light Beige| $39
If you have the same skin type as me, combination to oily and sensitive, this foundation will blow your mind! I can honestly say this is the first foundation I have ever used that has not made me breakout or made my breakouts worse. In fact, this product actually helps combat acne! It's made to last all day and not feel too heavy. I'm on my second tube and I can tell this is quickly going to become a holy grail for me. The consistency is pretty thick but if you pair it with a damp beauty blender it thins it out and makes the application flawless.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light to Medium | $40

I'm sure you've all seen this palette many times before. I'll keep it short. This palette is amazing! Please forgive how messy mine currently is. I use it often on clients and myself of course. It's very versatile. They also offer another contour palette with different tones so you're bound to find something to fit your skin tone.

tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette | $45

I'm so excited to be sharing this one with you. It has been out for a while but I never managed to get my hands on it...until now! This is the tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette. Oh boy is that a mouthful. The shades are beautiful. Some are very warm while others have cool tones. It's an easy palette to get creative with. There are an endless amount of looks that can be made with it. Try it out!

My favorites shadows from the palette so far are "natural beauty" and "dreamer". As you can see I haven't even had a chance to try out all the colors yet. There are so many!

MAC Blush in Melba | $22
The last lovely makeup item on my list is this blush by MAC. MAC has been one of my favorite brands since I was young teenager. I'm always swooning over their products. I mean how can you not? Look at this color! I'm crazy for it. It's a soft coral color. I've used it on a few different skin tones and it's always seemed to compliment. I've had this for years and it's still holding up. If this isn't the shade for you I recommend you check out their other blushes and find the right one for you. You won't regret it.

Thank you so much for reading my post today. Leave a comment down below telling me if you have an recent makeup favorites and what they are! I'm always looking to try out new products.

Healthy Snack ft. Chia Seeds

I just wanted to share a few snaps I took of a snack I had recently and tell you how I felt about having chia seeds for the first time.

Pictures of fruit smoothie bowls are taking over Instagram and it's was making me hungry! Unfortunately I didn't actually have any time to make the fruit smoothie part. Instead I swapped it for some low fat vanilla yogurt. ~ Yum!

I put some blackberries, strawberries, and chia seeds on top and let me just say...it was so good! Chia seeds have a ton of nutritional benefits and in my opinion the taste wasn't too strong, so they're totally worth eating.

Don't be afraid to try out new foods. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be a good thing. You never know what food may become your next favorite.

I got the cute little bowl in the photos above at a Japanese dollar store near me. They are a great place to look for tiny bowls. Perfect for portion control!

Let me know in the comments below if you'd like a post on a few healthy snack recipes I have!

All About Stripes

Top Row (left to right): 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 Bottom Row (left to right): 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Lately I've found myself wanting to swap out some older garms for new striped pieces. I love stripes! It's hard not too when if you do them right, they can be flattering on any body type.

Being a plus sized girl, you'd think I was afraid of the horizontally lined fabric but it's quite the opposite. Every piece is going to fit you differently. Some will be winners and some will be losers. My point is that either way, you should never be afraid to try them out. You'd be surprised by how many things you think would look horrible, that would actually look stunning on you!

I picked out a few items I've been lusting over from my favorite sites. Check them out and tell me what you think!

Crop tops are a subtle and easy way to incorporate stripes into your wardrobe. Personally, I'm all about striped swing dresses. They scream style and are insanely comfortable for day to day wear. My favorite piece from the photos above would have to be the Striped Sweater from Free People. ~ It looks so cozy! What's your favorite?

Scarf | Socks
Isn't this scarf the cutest thing ever? It's only $8.90 so get it while you can!
How do you feel about stripes?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. I hope you enjoyed it and make sure to follow me so you can be updated every time I upload a new blog post.

Bite Beauty Obsessed

So a few posts ago in my Sephora Haul  I briefly talked about my new lip crayon from Bite Beauty. I've been using it almost every day now for about a week and guys...I'm OBSESSED! I honestly cannot get enough of it.

I've worn it to work a few times and every time someone has pointed out that they like how my makeup looked, especially my lip color.

I got the shade Léché in-store for $24, you can grab it here!
This color is killer. It goes so well with my everyday eye makeup look. I love the shade so much but I really want to go back and pick up a few more! I'd love to try out Tatin and Glacé.

Frasier looks like a nice take on a classic red, too.

All in all, I've quickly fallen in love with this product and will definitely be dishing out some more cash to get a couple other colors.

I completely recommend you try out these lip crayons if your into a matte finish. I thought I liked MAC's matte lipsticks best, but now I'm torn. ~ MAC still wins when it comes to scent though. Their lip products smell like candy corn!

Yep, that's me after an eight hour shift at work. I only reapplied once! (After lunch of course.)

Have you guys ever tried any Bite Beauty products? How did you feel about them? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments below.
I hope you enjoyed my little ramble! Thank you so much for reading my post today. Make sure to follow my blog so you can be updated on my posts in the future.

My Life Through Photos #1

This is my kitten and his name is Marley. (Sorry the pic is a little blurry, he's hard to photograph!)
I am Groot!
Found this while wandering around Seattle.
Yummm!

It's one of our SakuraCon traditions to eat here every year. Best. Crêpes. Ever!
They don't just sell Crêpes. Doesn't this look good?
It hailed this past week where I live!
Oh yeah, I also met Slender Man. Turns out he's a really nice dude.
This is my first "My Life Through Photos" post and I hope you enjoyed it! Gracie Francesca inspired me to start making these along with a new series made up of my Instagram posts. Since I wasn't completely planning on making this, most of these photos are from one adventure I had recently.

I'll be sure to start taking photos absolutely everywhere I go from now on so you can see more into my life. ^.^

Most of these pictures where taken when I was in Seattle at SakuraCon this past April. I had the time of my life (as usual) and definitely plan on going next year!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog post. If you enjoyed it, make sure to follow me for future posts! Leave a comment telling me if you've ever been to a convention or one you'd like to go to someday. I really wanted to go to Emerald City Comicon next year!
