Project 7 Champagne Gummy Bears

So a while back champagne gummies became a huge thing. I first heard about them from BuzzFeed, you can read their article here. They featured Rosé flavored gummies from the company Sugarfina. They are definitely one of the most talked about flavors on the market.

There is a Sugarfina located near me, in Seattle, but today I opted for a less expensive alternative. I do plan on one day stopping by Sugarfina to try out some of their beloved sweets. Today however, I bought some Brut & Rosé Gourmet Gummies by Project 7 from my local Target store.

They retail for around $4.50. If you're interested in trying them yourself I recommend picking them up at Target before they are discontinued! I found mine over in the Christmas/Seasonal section, so I'm assuming they won't be a permanent item.

Click here to find out other products Project 7 offers!

Now for a review on the taste. The Rosé flavored one was LIT. Pardon my lack of the use of an actual word but that is the only thing I can say to describe it. It was delicious. What a wonderful idea for a flavor of gummy bear.

I will say, the Brut one was good but not my favorite. Not because it was poor tasting but more so the fact I'm not completely a fan of the taste in the first place. Nevertheless I still say you should try them out. It's always so strangely satisfying tasting things that are not in their usual form. I.e. a solid in liquid form or vice versa. They were definitely worth the $5 dollars I dished out and if they're still around when I run out I may grab another bag.

I'm curious to see what my friends and family think of them. I plan on sharing them around to hear everyone's opinion.

Project 7 is actually a pretty cool company. Please read their "Mission" that is posted on their website. It tells all about what they stand for as a company and well, what their mission is as a whole.

Here are a few facts about their products as well! All of their products are 90% organic and non GMO.  They have no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Lastly, everything they sell is made right here in America!

Thank you for stoping by to read my quick little review and taste test of Project 7's Champagne Gummies. Feel free to leave a comment down below telling me if you have ever tried any uniquely flavored sweets and how you felt about them! Much love and stay brilliant.

Sephora Haul

I finally got a few products I've been dreaming of owning for months now, and I couldn't be happier.

This trip to Sephora mainly revolved around face products. I figured it was about time I try out some new foundations and such. I'm so glad I finally took the leap and bought the tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Foundation that was on my April Wishlist!

Infact, I picked up several products that were on my wishlist. Including the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and the Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon in Léché. (It was the last one in the store!)

If you have never tried out the Bite Matte Lip Crayons, you are missing out. I can honestly say that they are now my favorite lip products as far as wear time. They stay on all day. I wore it for 13 hours (I know...long day!) and I only had to retouch it once because I ate food. I'm definitely interested in trying out other Bite Beauty products due to how much I love this lip crayon.

I'll be sure to due an update post on how I feel about all the products I bought this trip at Sephora. Let me know if you guys want to know more about any specific item from the haul!
Thank you so much for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed. Leave a comment down below telling me something you've been eye-balling from Sephora!

Make sure to follow me if you liked this blog post. There will be a ton more to come.

Ross Haul

I recently made a trip to Ross to check out what they had. I mainly go to Ross for perfume, bags, and home decor. So what I got may not come as a surprise to you! No home decor for me today but I did find a few gems in the store. Here are all the beauts I got the other day. Enjoy!

The first thing I picked up was right buy the entrance. Yes, I fell for their plan but hey! This candle smells amazing. I feel like it can be hard to find a candle that is purely just the scent of apples. They always mix it with something else so when I saw this was just plain apple scented I snatched it right up. It was a whooping $2.99. ~ Oh my! (It retails for $6)  I wish that there were more of these at their store, I would had bought them all. I'm burning it as I write this and I love it! It smells so fruity and it's making me kind of hungry...

I found this adorable Steve Madden satchel over in their purse section and I freaked! In case you didn't know, Steve Madden is one of my all-time favorite designers. So when I saw this bag I just about had a heart attack. It was love at first sight. It retails for $68 and I was lucky enough to get it for $29.99. My Mother is a sweetheart and was actually the one to purchases it. ~ Thanks Mom!

Just wait guys. Although the front of the bag is stunning, the back and bottom are really what got me.

It's a bright mint color!

Not sure if you can tell from the photo but my walls are painted the same color as the bag. That indication should let you know it's pretty much my favorite color. I've never owned a color block purse before and I'm glad this one could be my first.

It has gold detailing and the lining is a black and white chevron print.

I have a wallet by Steve Madden that matches it perfectly. It's meant to be!

The only piece on clothing I got on my trip was this number by a brand called Meraki. Never heard of the brand before but I love the shirt. The tag says it's a size small but I normally wear a L-XL and it's huge on me! I think it's meant to be a one-size fits all kind of garment. It retails for $24.99 and I paid $11.99 for it.

It's a maroon, high-low, chiffon like shirt with a scoop neckline and it's actually really flattering. I think it would look good on almost every body type. When I went in to try it on I was afraid it would look a bit like a muumuu but it didn't! It's quite long in the back. All it needs is some black jeans, a skinny belt and were good to go.

*I'm sorry about the terrible photos. They give it no justice but it was extremely hard to photograph without it just looking like a big piece of flowy fabric.

Something I like to do every time I go to Ross is try out at least one new perfume I haven't bought before. This trip was no exception.

It took me a while of walking back and forth to the rack where they hold all their perfume but I finally decided on two. The first one I got was Lucky You by Lucky Brand. I've never tried anything by the brand outside of their jeans. ~ Which are great! When I saw this, then saw that it was marked down to only $14.99 I was like YES. Mine. Gimme.

It's always a surprise what it'll smell like and what the bottle will look like, which is why I like to buy them from Ross. Also the price in unbelievably low. This 3.7 fl. oz. bottle was originally $54. That's insane!

I lucked out with this one because I adore the scent and the bottle design. Score!

I think that the raised print on the glass is so cool and a very cute touch. One side says "Lucky Brand" with a "Luck You" in the middle and the other side has a four-leaf clover of course. What I couldn't really photograph was that the sides say "America's" & "Favorite".

The second perfume I found while searching through the shelves was Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana! Are you kidding me? I must of smelt this perfume in Sephora at least ten times, dreaming I could afford it. Well thanks to Ross, now I could.

It's a pretty small bottle at only .84 fl. oz. but I was not about to pass it up. I did contemplate whether or not I should buy it but as you can see...I did. It retails for $52 and I paid $37.99. It was still quite expensive but totally worth it. I love this scent.

I think the bottle is very classy too. I'm a sucker for design and I love the clouded glass and reflective print on the bottle. I think it's fun to build up a collection of different perfumes. They are all so pretty and can add a fun vibe to your beauty station.

Thank you all so much for reading my post today. I hope you enjoyed. Leave a comment down below telling me something you've purchased recently that you love!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Haul

So if you didn't hear about it from the various commercials, dozens of ads, and thousands of blog posts, Lilly Pulitzer and Target came together to create a stunning collection! It was full of a ton of cute clothing, from rompers to swimsuits and everything in between. I was very lucky when it came to this lovely collection for the main fact that I work at Target. I was jumping up and down when I finally got to see all the products in person on Saturday morning. Everything was so vibrant and fun! ~Of course! Unfortunately I had to work this morning, so my only chance to buy anything was on my lunch. I actually managed to snatch up a few items before we were completely out of stock. I'll link everything I can down below but Target is already completely sold out online so you'll have to go to your nearest Target to see if they have anything left. Enjoy!

I bought it in store for $15. Click here for more details.

The first thing that caught my eye was this iPhone 6 Plus case. I'm obsessed! The pattern name is call Fan Dance. I was so happy that they actually made a few cases that fit my phone. It's hard to find affordable, stylish cases for the 6 plus. It has a more muted color scheme and I love it. I really wanted a case in the pattern See Ya Later but they didn't have a size that would fit my phone. I'm not complaining at all though. I'm so pleased I even got my hands on this. We only got two of each pattern in stock at my store and the cases went fast!

I bought it in-store for $22. Click here for more details.

The fact that I was able to get a phone case before they were all gone was a big deal, but getting clothing was a huge deal! We had a line outside our door and the second it turned 8 o'clock the doors opened and the guests piled in. Luckily, everyone was civil and calm for the most part. Not going to lie though, I did see one guest throwing handfuls of clothes and accessories over her arm. It was a tad overwhelming but still a fun morning. Anyway, back to the shirt. I got a top in the pattern Nosie Posey. It's almost impossible to pick a favorite pattern but this one is definitely in my top five. It's sort of a babydoll style top and it's super flattering. The colors of this shirt make me happy, which is what Lilly Pulitzer is all about! The v-neckline is classy and cute but adds a slight sexiness to it. My favorite part of the entire shirt is the zipper in the back, scroll down below to see a photo of it. I'll definitely be sporting this all summer. Can't wait for all the looks I'm going put together with this shirt. There will be many OOTD's involving this piece in the near future. Pardon my amateur photo below, I was losing sunlight. ~Oh no!

Look how cute the pull in the back is! It's an adorable little gold pineapple.

I bought it in-store for $26. Click here for more details.

The last thing I got was another shirt. I know, whaaaat?! This along with the other shirt I bought were the last one of their kind. Which in this case was a blessing and a curse. I think the colors and pattern of this shirt are beautiful and the neckline is insanely flattering. It's in the pattern Sea Urchin for You. How cute? The only unfortunate thing is, it's an XXL and it's quick wide around the waist. It's definitely passable. Since the style of the shirt is flowy in the first place it still looks really good. It'll be perfect for going to out to dinner in the chance I eat too much and want to hide my belly. ~Let's be real, it happens to the best of us. It's not the perfect fit but because I am who I am, I still decided to buy it because it was the last one and because of my love for the color. I think I made the right choice getting it, all it needs is some skinny jeans and I'm good to go. I can't get over how cute the pattern is either. Time to grab my sandals and head to the beach! Oh wait, they have those in the collection too.

This doesn't really count as something I bought for my mini haul but I got one of the posters that was part of the display. I just thought it was such a pretty sign!

Leave a comment down below telling if me you got your hands on anything from the collection and if so, what? I hope you enjoyed this blog post and thank you so much for reading.

Stay brilliant world.

Recent Purchases

I wanted to let you all see a few things I've purchased recently and quickly fallen in love with.

You can buy this CHI Silk Infusion here for $25.50.

I've had my eye on this product for a few years now and recently I was shopping for some fun haircare products and saw it on the shelf. I was immediately reminded of all the good things I've heard about it and it was only $12 at the store I was at! So of course I added it to my hand basket. I've only used it once since I got it but oh my god guys! It's phenomenal! The smell, the texture, the packaging, it's all so lovely. It worked very well. It keeps your ends nice and healthy looking even through all the curling  and straightening. You should try it out if your looking for a little something extra to make your hair look fabulous.

You can get It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product here for $18.00.

This has been a holy grail product of mine for so many years now. I'm contemplating making a blog post just for it alone. I swear by this stuff. If you have ends that can be a little dry or maybe you just want your hair to be softer then you should try this out. I started using it when I was transitioning from my platinum blonde to the natural color I have now. I wanted to just let it grow out but I found my ends would dry so brittle! So I started using this to combat the breakage and it worked wonderfully. I haven't looked back since. It comes in quite a few different sizes so if the 4 oz. isn't for you, I believe there's a smaller size they offer. It's a little pricey for the amount of actual product you get but to me the results it gives are worth every penny.

I picked mine up from Urban Outfitters for $10.00 but you can get it on Amazon for only $6.63 here.

The original Wreck This Journal was immensely popular. I still have the original book and use it occasionally. There are so many pages in the big one! This book is it's adorable little sister. It's called Wreck This Journal Everywhere. It stands at about 4x6 inches and it's perfect for those spontaneous, on the go adventures. It fits just right in my bucket bag and is always there if I'm out and about and need something creative to do. There aren't as many pages, and it contains a lot of wreck it your own way pages, but I still love it so much. Little books like these remind you not to take life too seriously and just live the adventure. Although I must say...there's a "put dead bugs here" page I won't be using any time soon.

You can either pick it up at your local Target or get it online here for $29.99.
Just call and give them this number if you want it in store! 024 06 3670

This charming, oddly shaped bag is something I walked by at work about 40 times before I finally bought it. It took me a while to decide whether I liked it or thought it was just too weird. $30 later, I think you can guess what I decided. It reminds me of Paris for some reason. Coming from a girl who has only been there in her dreams, that probably means nothing. None the less, it makes me so happy. I am totally into stripes right now so that was a plus, but the main reason I chose to get it was because of how well it fits my DSLR. I wanted something that would be able to hold my camera, wallet, keys, and all that other extra crap girls carry in their bag, without it getting all banged up. This bag was the perfect fit! I don't own any other backpacks so I'm a little confused on how to style it. If you have any suggestions as to what I should do, please leave them down in the comments below.

Isn't it so cute?

The last thing I got recently is this fun pillow from the Nate Berkus collection at Target. It was on a clearance end cap and I quickly grabbed it and brought it to the registers to check out. Who doesn't like a good decorative pillow for cheap? I love pretty much anything Nate Berkus related. His line at Target is to die for.

Can my whole room be designed by Nate? Please?!

I'm not too sure as to the price, just because it was on clearance and I already threw the tag away but I think it was around $12.50. ALWAYS look in the clearance section at Target loves, you never know what you might find. They have new great deals every day.

Well that's it for me. I should be saving my money but sometimes there are things you just can't pass up. I hope you enjoyed this blog post and thank you so much for reading.

Stay brilliant world.

Powell's Books

On my trip to Portland I stopped by a very well-known book store, Powell's Books. They have a few locations and I ended up going to the one in Old Town. Let me just warn you now, if you ever feel like venturing to Oregon and going to this store...you will want everything! At least I did. So be sure to bring some extra spending money. The prices aren't bad in my opinion. I know some people have different views on that (according to the lady who scribbled on the bathroom stall "This shit's expensive!") but I'll let you that decide for yourself. Prices for everything I bought will be listed down below. Anyways, let's get on with the books!

You can buy This is Portland here for $4.50! I bought it for $5.95 in store, new.

I thought it would just make sense to start off with one of the books I bought my first time to the store, This is Portland. This is one of the few I've started to read through and let me just say, it's so good! It is full of a lot humor, a little bit of information and the truth about Portland. It's written by Alexander Barrett who at the time had lived in Portland for a year and felt the need to tell people what Rip City is really all about. Though I love all my purchases, I definitely recommend this cute little book to anyone who is interested in a inside look at the city.

You can buy World War Z here for $8.00. I bought it for $14.95 in store, new.

This next book I bought partly because of my love for the movie but mainly because of the recommendation from my sister. She's told me many times this is one of here favorite books and she has good taste in books so I figured, why not? You'll find that with a huge percentage of the books I got on my trip to Powell's, that her recommendations had a strong influence. Now this is slightly embarrassing to say but I've only recently gained a love for books. Reading used to drive me insane and bore me to no end but all it took was finding that one book that sparked a whole lifetime of great reads. I'm so grateful I found a book that did that for me because I have so much to catch up on! With all that being said, I'm still trying to find out just what genre's tickle my fancy. I am always up for anything involving zombies, so I'm sure this will go right into my pile of most loved books soon enough. "BRAINSSSSS!" *Not an actual quote from the book

You can buy If I Stay here for $7.95 and not simple here for $8.95. I bought If I Stay on sale for $6.98 and my sister purchased not simple for $8.95 in store, both used. We're sharing it!

As I said earlier, I'm still trying to find out which type's of books I like. That should explain why there are some random purchases in my haul today. Take not simple for example, I would normally never reach for anything in the realm of manga. Not because I don't like it but because I feel like I just don't connect with it on any level. Obviously, I'm trying to change that. For some reason though with this book, I did. I think it was the art that really sucked me in to be honest. Sometimes it can be good to judge a book by it's cover. My sister has read not simple and loved it. I gather it definitely isn't a book about rainbows and sunshine, but I'm okay with that. I can't wait to read it. I also snatched up If I Stay. It recently became a major motion picture as the big sticker on the front says. I find that that plays a big role in books I'm interested in. I think it's because it exposes me to the story. It puts it right in front of my face and makes it hard to ignore. By the way yes, I'm one of those people that likes young adult novel's like The Fault In Ours Stars but don't worry. I won't be buying Twilight any time soon.

You can buy The Perks of Being a Wallflower here for $8.95. I bought it in store for $9.95, used.

I've heard so many good things about this book. Once again, It's a book that was made into a movie. I personally see no harm in that though. In most cases with myself, I haven't actually seen all these movies that are made from the books. They just merely make me want to read the book because I know what the story is about. Almost every time I see a new trailer for a movie that looks interesting and realize it's based off of someone's novel, I go out and buy the book. I much prefer to read the story first. I like to create my own visions and scenarios. It's what makes reading, well...reading. You're mind gets to explore places that your eyes never could. Back to the book. It's about a boy who is socially awkward and feels like he's just watching life go by. I can relate to this book greatly in the sense that for many years of my life I was the weird awkward kid who couldn't do anything without word vomiting nonsense all over myself. I think that's why I have such an urgency to read it. Even now while typing this I'm wishing I could be reading it till I fall asleep. This one will be a keeper.

You can buy Choke here for $8.50. I bought it in store for $8.50, used.

This is another of my sister's favorite books. The first trip I made to Powell's I asked her to tell me all the books she thought I should read and this was one of them. Based on what she explained to me it's basically about a guy who's a sex addict and goes around to different pricey restaurants pretending to choke so that people will save him. That's all I know about it. I am one to like not-so-conventional stories so I'm almost certain I will really enjoy this book. It was also written by the same man who wrote Fight Club and I mean come on, this is Fight Club we're talking about. How could this book not be great?

You can buy My Age of Anxiety here for $11.87. I bought in on sale in store for $11.87, new. It's still 30% off, get it while you can!
My Age of Anxiety is exactly what it says it's about on the cover. Fear, hope, dread, and the search for piece of mind. It's a self-help book. I've never steered towards those types of books but this one sort of spoke to me. Ever since I can remember I've struggled with anxiety. Every aspect of my life has anxiety hovering right above it. I'm really hoping that reading this book will help me to not only understand more about the anxiety and worry that cloud my life but also how to overcome it. Now I'm not sure if I'm expecting too much out of this book but I'll let you know when I find out. For now, it's in the line of many books I need to read.

You can buy Men, Women & Children here for $9.95. I bought it in store for $10.95, new.
This book caught my interest for a few reasons. Not gonna lie, the main one being Ansel Elgort plays Tim Mooney in the movie that was made after it. I haven't seen it but once again, the trailers I saw for it looked pretty interesting so I bought myself a copy of the book. It would take too long to type out a huge paragraph on what this novel is about so instead I insist you Google it. Or Bing it, if you're one of those people. It's going to be hard to not watch the movie before reading the book on this one.

You can buy The Theory of Everything here for $9.98. I bought it on sale in store for $9.98, used. It's still on sale, go get it!

I picked up this book because I saw it was on one of Powell's "If you liked (fill in the blank) then you'll like..." papers. I had been eye-balling it on the sale table for about ten minutes so I decided to walk over and see what it was about. Turns out it's another young adult novel so naturally I had to buy it. This is another one that's a little hard to explain so I'd look up a summary of it if you're interested. If you liked TFIOS than you'll probably like this. At least that's what everyone keeps telling me! I'm excited to read this. I'm sure it'll be an easy read and end perfectly happy, but I'm okay with that. Also pandas are my favorite animal so that miiiight be why I kept looking at it on the table across the room.

You can buy Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging here for $4.50. I bought it in store for $7.50, used.

I remember growing up my sister owned this book. I thought it was so cool that she read books and I wanted to be just like her. Ironically she spotted this book on the shelf while we were on the search for a different one. So I decided to get it, just for fun. She picked it up and told me about how she loved reading it when she was younger, so I said okay and threw it in my basket. Now I've seen the movie that was made after this called Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. It was pretty funny from what I recall. I'll zip through this book in no time. I already have a connection to the movie so this book will for sure be added to my list of favorites. Also, how fun is the word snogging?

$7.95

It's pretty much impossible not to grab a few random journals and such on your way out of Powell's. I got two journals, a bumper sticker, a birthday card, a Cards Against Humanity Expansion pack (Yes I know, I'm a horrible human being) and some thank you sticky notes. Check out their little stationary section, there's tons of great stuff.
$9.95 here.
$4.00

Well that's it for my Powell's Books Haul. This was what I picked out to refrain from buying the whole store. I love all my little goodies and am so pleased to have a ton of new books to read. I'll make sure to do an update post on my favorite books soon! Thank you for reading. Stay brilliant world and don't forget, KEEP PORTLAND WEIRD!
