8 Pairs Of Quirky Socks You Need Right Now

Hello beauties! Today I wanted to come to you with a list I've compiled of amazingly quirky socks I found while scavenging the internet.

I figured with Christmas being around the corner, these socks would be great gift ideas or socking stuffers for the loved ones in your life. Whether they be used as a gag gift or be given to some one who say, genuinely loves a cat in a bowtie, they will make a fun and creative gift this holiday season.

I chose eight different pairs down below. These are just some of the few I wanted to showcase but there are many more silly socks floating around on tons of websites. I picked mine from Forever 21, Asos, and Target. Now let's take a look, shall we?

Unicorn $10 | Bowtie Cat $1.50 | Unicorn Cat $1.50 | Chick $2.90

Can we just take a moment to talk about these Unicorn socks from Asos? What is life? These are ridiculous and I absolutely love them! They're the priciest pair in my list today coming in on sale at $10, regularly $12.50. If you know someone who would fall in love with these magical socks, or maybe you yourself want a pair, I'd snag them up before the sale ends!

Also, look how they come packaged. WHAT?! I may just be a bit of a goon but I can't handle how awesome they are. I've not even a huge fan of unicorn-themed things but something about walking around with wonderfully ridiculous socks on under my shoes is enticing to me. It's like a fun secret. Like yeah I have cheeseburgers on my feet, but you'll never know.  ( ‾ʖ̫‾)

Sushi $2.90 | Cheeseburger $1.90 | Tacos $1.90 | Sliding Penguins $2.90

Whatever animal or food you are looking for, I've sure there are a pair of socks somewhere on the internet with that print, that you can buy. I hope you enjoyed reading my post today and maybe found a pair you might want to get. If you don't want to purchase anything online I definitely recommend going to your local Target store and checking out what they have. I own a bright orange pair with pretzels on them that I got from Target. Not sure why, but I fell in love and decided I wanted them immediately. They are also only around $1-$2 there so you're not making a huge investment.

I'll be compiling more lists of cool things "You Need Right Now" in the near future so be sure to follow my blog to be notified when they go up. Leave a comment down below letting me know which pair out of the eight that you like best. Thanks for stoping by. Much love and stay brilliant.

Visiting The Gum Wall In Seattle

On my recent trip to the city I visited an iconic place in the Pike Place Market, the ever so popular Gum Wall. I've been there many times but never documented the adventure. Here's a little background for those of you I'm sure are saying, "The what wall? Gross!" The Gum Wall in Seattle, officially known as the Market Theater Gum Wall, has been around since 1993. It was eventually deemed as a tourist attraction in 1999 by market officials.

In 2009, it was named one of the top 5 germiest tourist attractions. Nearly one year ago to the day, "It was announced by the Pike Place Market Preservation & Development Authority that for the first time in 20 years the gum wall would be receiving a total scrub down for maintenance and steam-cleaning, to prevent further erosion of the bricks on the walls from the sugar in the gum." (source)

Since then, tourist (such as myself) have already begun re-packing the walls with freshly chewed gum. I know to some it may seem pretty gross and a little pointless, but nevertheless it's still fun to do! If you travel to the Seattle area any time soon, why not stop by and leave your own little piece of history on the wall?

The wall has become more than just a place to leave gum over all the years. You'll also find works of art that are more than creative in their presentation. You'd be amazed the things people think to make out of gum. Check out the photos below to see just a few of the things people thought of to add to the walls!

I find the "Gross" sticker to be very fitting. Look at that green piece of gum! I love Seattle.

You can see from the photo below that these cool gum art pieces where washed away in 2015 but part of them still remain. I wonder how much gum they had to chew to make that awesome skull and star? Hmm.

Thank you looking through my post. If you ever have any interest in someday visiting Seattle, I say go! I plan on doing many more posts about the wonderful city. Make sure to check back as I try and find hidden gems throughout Seattle. Although the gum wall is nothing less than astounding and creative, I plan on seeking out places in the city that not many outsiders know about.

If you have any questions or recommendations on where to visit, feel free to leave them down below. I'm always down for a little adventure. Much love and stay brilliant.

Floral Frenzy

It has been a quick minute since I've made a post here on my KJR Beauty Blog but I'm happy to be back and I'm so excited to share my new ideas with you all! I went on a small hiatus from blogging for a couple of reasons. If I'm being honest the biggest reason was that life got busy and I got lazy. Constantly thinking of things to write about can be difficult! No more excuses from me though. I've decided if something I want to write about pops into my head, I will surely write about it. But I'm still going to do my daily routines and live life to it's fullest.

If you're new to my blog, welcome! I hope you take a peek around and like what you see. There's a lot more to come.

Let's get to the whole reason as to why you clicked this post. Let's talk about floral!

Floral patterns are everywhere! I think floral prints are the perfect way to combine an innocence feel, classiness, and being chic all in one. You can choose a floral print in just about any color. That's the great thing about it. If you're not so much of a fuchsia pink kinda girl, there are a ton of other colors to pick from. I included pictures of different prints that I like. Some are darker and some are lighter! Feel free to use them as inspiration when finding a pattern you like.

I personally find myself gravitating towards darker floral, just because it's so easy to match!

The watch shown below by Olivia Burton is stunning. I fell in love the second I saw it. It you're new to adding patterns into your wardrobe, trying accessories is a great way to start.

If it wasn't obvious enough, floral arrangements themselves are a fun way to incorporate a fresh and youthful feel into your home. Making your own arrangements can be loads of fun and make for some very cute table pieces.

Probably the easiest way to have a little floral in your life is by wearing clothing with the print. I'm a big fan of navy blue and pink prints. Right now is the best time to be wearing the pattern! Summertime means sundresses, crop tops, shorts, swimwear, and so much more. All being wonderful candidates for floral print.

Phone and computer accessories look beautiful with a pattern. I mean who doesn't love flowers? I have my eyes on the "be kind" phone case shown in the picture above.

Get ready for summer by trying out these two DIY's for some floral fun!

Designs by Nicolina has a wonderful DIY up about how to make your very own Floral Minnie/Mickey Ears. Check it out here! It's such an adorable spin on the already cute ears.

This second DIY has steps on how to make Paper Mache Letters with faux flowers. The original post is not written in english but has everything translated to english right below each post. So make sure to take a look at it and try it out for yourself. Personalized letters are always fun to make and a great way to release some creativity.

Thank you so much for reading through my post. Sorry for the overuse of the words floral, pattern, and print. It can be hard to find other ways to describe it. Ha ha! I had a blast writing this for you guys and I'll be back soon with some new and creative material.

Make sure to follow my blog so you'll be updated when I post something new. Leave a comment telling me what your favorite flower is or if you prefer something else! I personally love sunflowers. They are beautiful and remind me of being young and full of adventure for some reason. I've loved them since I was a little kid.

Stay brilliant world.
